* Teams of 2 students, graduating between Fall 2020 - Fall 2022, will have two weeks in early September to complete & submit an initial (first round) data challenge, that will be reviewed by Lyft's Data Scientists.
* The top teams will be invited to visit San Francisco from Friday October 11 - Sunday October 13th (with flights and hotels covered) for a full day Data Challenge (second round) on Saturday Oct 12th at Lyft HQ. Â
* Teams onsite will have a chance to meet with Lyft Data Scientists, Leaders, University Recruiters and compete for awards/prizes, which include interviewing for a 2020 DS internship!

Elizabeth joined Lyft in October 2018 as the Vice President of Science. Lyft’s Science team leverages diverse skill sets in data analytics, modeling, and optimization to identify and implement improvements to our business and products. This includes developing measurement and diagnostic frameworks that support optimal decision making as well as production algorithms that support optimal product delivery.
Yujia joined Lyft in January 2019 as a Data Scientist. Working in a product team gives her great exposure to practice both technical skills and strategic thinking. Yujia's day-to-day jobs vary from identifying growing opportunities through experimentation and deep dive analysis to scaling up business using prediction and optimization.
Rob joined Lyft in September, 2018 as a Data Scientist on the Rider Experience team. Since then, he's leveraged a diverse set of skills to build software libraries to streamline analysis, developed algorithms for positioning fleets of wheelchair access vehicles, created dashboarding and analysis for cancelations, and occasionally crashed a Presto cluster.
The Lyft Data Challenge registered 302 teams (600+ students) to compete in a month long competition for amazing prizes and a chance to interview with Lyft for our 2020 Data Scientist internship positions. Below are a summary of our Top 16 & Top 4 winners!
